THE PENSION LIBRARY · 2026/27 UK TAX YEAR
Six guides on UK tax, pensions, and inheritance — written by a retired tax accountant after nearly forty years inside the system.
Each guide solves one thing. Two are only available in the library.
Most pensioners pay tax they don't owe. For years. Nobody tells them.
If you need care, the council can take your house. There's a way to keep it.
When one of you dies, the other has to claim money nobody mentions. Or lose it.
Help your family the wrong way and HMRC takes 40%. Done right, nothing.
Most couples have a £1 million tax shelter and have no idea. Then they lose it.
When you die, your family has 30 days of paperwork they've never seen.
Gerald Whitlock is a retired British tax accountant. He spent nearly forty years in private practice, helping UK families with HMRC, pensions, ISAs, and inheritance tax. He retired in 2022.
Since then, he's volunteered for Pension Wise and Citizens Advice — sitting opposite ordinary UK pensioners who've been overpaying tax, missing allowances, and losing money to HMRC because nobody ever explained the rules.
He made these guides because he kept hearing the same stories. He wrote them in plain English. He verified every figure against gov.uk. And he made the two most important ones — the inheritance tax guide, and the handover pack for your family — only available together in the library.
All six guides — for £297. Delivered as PDFs. Read on any device.
